Urosal is a drug used in the comprehensive treatment and prevention of urinary tract infections. Thanks to the combined activity of two active substances (methenamine and phenyl salicylate), Urosal has an antibacterial effect in the intestines, bile and urinary tract.
Urosal has a disinfecting, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. The drug fights the causes of urinary tract infections thanks to the antimicrobial effect of both active substances1. Additionally, due to the content of phenyl salicylate, Urosal has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, thanks to which the drug also removes the symptoms of infection1.
Urosal is used in:
bladder inflammation,
pyelonephritis,
inflammation of the renal pelvis,
inflammation of the gallbladder and bile ducts,
in diarrhea and enteritis.
Urosal — contraindications
Hypersensitivity to methenamine, phenyl salicylate or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
Hypersensitivity to active substances from the salicylate group or phenol.
Diseases such as kidney or liver failure, bleeding diathesis, stomach and/or duodenal ulcers, bronchial asthma, significant metabolic acidosis, dehydration.
Intolerance to some sugars.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using the preparation.
Urosal — dosage
Orally: 1 tablet 3 times a day after meals with water.

Taking Urosal is often accompanied by gastrointestinal disorders. You may also experience: irritation of the urinary tract, a feeling of urgency to urinate, and pain during urination.
