PRENACAPS FERR C is a combination of 28 mg of iron (iron fumarate) with vitamin. C.
28 mg of iron – The team of the Polish Gynecological Society recommends iron supplementation to women trying to conceive, pregnant and breastfeeding, who are at risk of deficiencies of this component. When trying for a baby, the recommended dose is at least 18 mg, 26-27 mg during pregnancy and 20 mg during lactation.
Vit. C – Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron.
Transparent composition in a glass container – The product does not contain, among others artificial fillers, preservatives, sweeteners.
THE IMPORTANCE OF IRON IN PREGNANCY AND BREAST FEEDING
Iron helps in the proper production of red blood cells and hemoglobin. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal psychological functions and the functioning of the immune system. Additionally, it reduces the feeling of tiredness and weariness. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron.
During pregnancy, the need for iron is greater because the needs of the mother and the developing baby, the placenta and increasing hemoglobin mass must be met, especially in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. In nursing mothers, the increased demand is related to the need to cover iron losses with the secreted milk.
