Coldrex Junior C is an analgesic and antipyretic drug for oral use. Coldrex Junior C reduces runny nose, clears the nose. This medicine relieves cold symptoms in children aged 6-12 years.
Composition
The active substances of the drug are: paracetamol, phenylephrine, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
1 sachet contains 300 mg of paracetamol, 5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 20 mg of vitamin C. Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Use in children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 sachet every 4 hours, up to 4 times a day. The drug should not be used more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
Excipients: sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sucrose, colloidal anhydrous silica, lemon flavor 610399 E, curcumin (E100 ).
Dosage
The powder should be dissolved in hot water before administration.
Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass, fill halfway with hot water, mix well and drink. Add cold water or sweeten if needed.
Action
Coldrex Junior C is a combination drug with multidirectional action, which is used to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu.
Paracetamol has an antipyretic and analgesic effect. Phenylephrine reduces nasal congestion, reduces swelling, facilitates breathing.
Coldrex
Junior C is used for short-term, symptomatic treatment of flu or cold, with fever, chills, headache, sore throat, rhinitis (runny nose) in children aged 6-12 years.
Contraindications
When not to use Coldrex Junior C
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if you suffer from severe liver or kidney failure,
- if you are taking zidovudine (used to treat HIV infection)
- while taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors and within 2 weeks after stopping their use.
- Do not give the medicine to children under 6 years of age.
Stop taking the medicine immediately and contact your doctor if you experience:
- allergic reaction such as skin rash or itchy skin, sometimes with difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face
- skin rash or peeling, mouth ulcers,
- breathing problems if you have had similar problems in the past while taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- unexplained bruising or bleeding
- loss of vision, which may be caused by excessively high intraocular pressure. This is very rare but is likely to happen in people with glaucoma
- unusual fast pulse or feeling of irregular heart rhythm,
- difficulty urinating. This is more likely in men with enlarged prostates,
- liver problems (which may be indicated by yellowing of the skin and eyes, liver tenderness).
- These reactions are rare (more than 1 in 10,000 but less than 1 in 1,000 patients) or very rare (less than 1 in 10,000 patients).
