“Orange flavor.
The active substance is lactulose.
5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 g of lactulose.
The excipients are: liquid sorbitol, non-crystallising; citric acid monohydrate; orange flavor; Purified Water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults:
In chronic constipation, initial dosage: 20 to 40 ml daily in 1 or 2 doses.
After obtaining the effect, the dose should be determined individually, depending on the patient’s needs.
In hepatic failure, pre-coma or hepatic coma, 120 – 240 ml in 3 to 4 doses daily. Dosage should be determined individually, changing them every 1-2 days, so that the number of bowel movements per day is 2 to 3.”
