Indications
Biosteron is indicated to supplement DHEA deficiencies.
When not to use Biosteron:
If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you have breast, ovarian or other estrogen-dependent cancer.
If you suffer from severe liver failure.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Very common side effects (occurring in more than 1 in 10 people): increased sweating, seborrheic lesions of the facial skin, itchy scalp, facial acne or mild acneiform dermatitis, and in women, moderate hirsutism.
Rare side effects (occurring in more than 1 in 10,000 and less than 1 in 1,000 patients): headache, anxiety, mood changes, enlarged and tender nipples in men, menstrual disorders in women.
Very rare side effects (occurring in less than 1 in 10,000 patients): insomnia, mania, non-life-threatening heart rhythm disturbances.
Warnings and precautions
This is a medicine. For safety, use it according to the leaflet included in the package. Pay attention to contraindications.
If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store at temperatures below 25 oC.
