In patients under 40 years of age, the use of Biosterone should be discussed with a doctor.
If serious side effects occur, stop taking the drug and contact your doctor.
If side effects such as acne or oily skin occur, the drug should be stopped for 2-3 weeks. After this time, you can continue treatment with a lower dose than before, but it is recommended to consult your doctor. If side effects occur again, the medicine should not be taken.
Taking other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take any other medicines.
Biosterone should not be taken by men taking testosterone as it may enhance its effects.
DHEA may reduce the effect of certain medications, such as: anticonvulsants (eg, carbamazepine, valproic acid), psycholeptic drugs (phenothiazine derivatives, diazepines and oxazepines).
It is not recommended to use Biosteron with the above drugs due to the possibility of reducing their effectiveness.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnant and lactating women should consult a doctor before using the drug.
Biosterone is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
