SwimCount, a sperm quality (sperm count and motility) test, is a medical device for home use that measures the number and motility of sperm in semen. The test measures the number of sperm in semen that can move properly. The device has 2 chambers, and only moving sperm can flow from one chamber to another. When the sperm enters the second chamber, it changes color, as does the results window. The more motile sperm, the more colorful the results window will be.

The SwimCount sperm quality test is used in the following cases:

Method of using a medical device
Take a sample of the seeds in the cup included in the kit. Make sure all of the sample is added to the glass. Do not use condoms (or condoms specifically designed for this purpose) or lubricants, as they can destroy sperm.
Leave the sample for 30 minutes.
Take 0.5 ml of sample with a syringe. It is important not to draw air bubbles into the syringe as this will affect the volume of the sample.
Slowly transfer the semen sample from the syringe (0.5 ml) into the sample window.
Activate the device (move the slider)
Wait 30 minutes and move the slider again.
After 5 minutes, read the result (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH) in the results window. The darker the color of the sample, the more correctly the sperm moves.
Contraindications and precautions
Store at temperatures between 2°C and 30°C.
Do not freeze.
The test device is disposable and cannot be reused.
