10 mg terbinafine hydrochloride
Excipients:
10 mg benzyl alcohol, Cetyl palmitate, 40 mg cetostearyl alcohol, 40 mg cetyl alcohol, Sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment, Purified water, Isopropyl myristate, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan stearate
Terbinafine has a strong fungicidal effect (kills fungi). Even low concentrations are highly effective, especially against dermatophytes. After applying terbinafine to the diseased skin, only a small portion of the dose (<5%) reaches the skin, where it accumulates. Effective concentrations persist 7 days after the last application. Due to the long-lasting fungicidal effect, in many cases, once-daily treatment with terbinafine for 1-2 weeks is sufficient to heal the skin affected by fungus.
SUGGESTED USE
Adults and adolescents (12 years and older)
With athlete’s foot (tinea pedis)
once daily for 1 week.
Possible symptoms of athlete’s foot include itching, redness, and
flaking between the toes and on the soles of the feet. Sometimes, the skin may break (especially between the toes) and oozing blisters may occur. Athlete’s foot often causes an unpleasant odor.
Ringworm (tinea corporis)
once daily for 1 week.
Ringworm consists of slow-growing, itchy, red, scaly, round patches that may be distributed over the body.
Skin fungus (cutaneous candidiasis)
once daily for 1 to 2 weeks.
Candida is a yeast that can cause a skin infection under certain circumstances. Skin lesions
often occur in warm, moist areas of the body, such as the groin or under the breasts. Symptoms include itching, redness, and scaling.
Tinea versicolor (Pityriasis versicolor)
1-2 times daily for 2 weeks. The yeast that causes pityriasis versicolor is called Malassezia Furfur. Infection with this yeast occurs primarily on the upper arms, trunk, and
shoulders. Symptoms include mild itching and slightly scaly patches. In tanned people, the patches are usually lighter than the rest of the skin, and in people who have little or no sun exposure, they tend to appear light brown. Symptoms generally improve
within a few days .
Infrequent use or early discontinuation of treatment increases the likelihood of symptoms returning. If you do not notice an improvement within two weeks of starting treatment, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
How to use.
This medicine is for external use only.
The opening of the tube is sealed with aluminum. This cap can be opened by turning the cap of the tube upside down, under slight pressure.
Before applying the cream, the skin must be thoroughly cleaned and dried.
Apply just enough cream to cover the affected area of skin and the surrounding area with a thin layer of cream.
Rub them gently. If the skin area to be treated is in a fold of skin (under the breast, between the toes or fingers, in the groin or between the buttocks), the skin should be covered with sterile gauze, especially at night.
If the use of the cream is not intended for hand treatment, wash your hands afterwards.”
