Application area
The drug is used to treat tobacco addiction by alleviating withdrawal symptoms. Thus, the drug helps to quit smoking.

Monotherapy
The recommended dose is:
The dosage should be based on the smoker’s tobacco addiction.
Heavy smokers (more than 20 cigarettes per day):
Phase 1: 25 mg
Duration of administration: 8 weeks
Phase 2: 15 mg
Duration of administration: 2 weeks
Phase 3: 10 mg
Duration of administration: 2 weeks
Less heavily dependent smokers (up to and including 20 cigarettes per day):
Phase 1: 15 mg
Duration of administration: 8 weeks
Phase 2: 10 mg
Duration of administration: 4 weeks
The maximum daily dose of 64 mg (patch + additional dosage form) must not be exceeded.
If smoking cessation is not possible after 12 weeks of combination therapy, treatment without patches can be continued with gradual reduction of smoking over the next 3 months.
Alternatively, after the first 8 weeks of combination therapy, treatment with the patch can be stopped completely and continued separately with the possibility of additional treatment for 4 weeks. If necessary, this treatment can be continued without patches with a gradual reduction in dose over the next 3 months.
Treatment should be stopped after 6 months.
Use in children and adolescents.
Use the drug in children and adolescents under 18 years of age only after consulting a doctor, since experience with the drug in this age group is limited.
