UPSA Carbocysteine 5% sugar-free is a medicine that thins bronchial secretions, facilitating the evacuation of mucus by coughing (expectoration). This syrup, reserved for adults, is used in cases of recent productive cough with difficulty expectorating.
For 100 ml of syrup: Carbocysteine 5 g
The other ingredients are: xanthan gum, sodium saccharin, sodium maltitol, 96% ethanol, sodium hydroxide, caramel flavor*, purified water.
Composition of the caramel flavor: diacetyl, propylene glycol, butyric acid, methylcyclopentenolone, maltol, 4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(H)-furanone, piperonal and vanillin.
