Levofree 0.05% eye drops is a decongestant and antiallergic medicine, which is used in the treatment of the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, an allergy affecting the eyes and characterized by red, watery and itchy eyes and by swollen eyes and/or eyelids. It is formulated with levocabastine , an antihistamine substance. Antihistamine medicines stop the release of histamine in the body, which reduces allergic reactions. Histamine is a molecule that is involved in allergies.
This medicine contains 0.05 g of levocabastine per 100 ml of solution. Its other ingredients are hydroxypropylbetadex, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride and purified water. It is formulated without preservatives.
