- Neopharm’s Cystostop SR is an advanced preparation that has a beneficial effect on the health of the urinary tract and kidneys, maintaining urine at its physiological levels of purity from bacteria. It is produced using innovative technology that allows for an extended, gradual release of the ingredients, thus ensuring constant adequate concentrations of the active substances in the body, higher efficiency and easier intake. Each tablet contains 500 mg of D-mannose and 50 mg of BetaVac – a combination of standardized dry extract of American cranberry and standardized dry extract of birch leaves.
- D-mannose is completely excreted in the urine within 90 minutes after taking the preparation. There, it exerts its beneficial effect by helping to cleanse the urinary tract with the act of urination. Its action is quite short-lived, because it is eliminated very quickly from the body. Two hours after taking it, only 10% of the taken D-mannose remains in the body, therefore, for maximum effect, the preparation must be taken every 2 – 3 hours. The extract of red American bilberry contains the biologically active substances proanthocyanidins, which are excreted in the urine, where they support the beneficial effect of D-mannose. They mutually enhance their action, and the effect of their joint use is significantly better than their independent use.
Dosage:
For 5 consecutive days – 2 tablets 3 times a day, at least 1 hour before or after meals. The tablet should be taken whole, with a glass of water, without breaking or chewing.
So far, there are no known side effects of the preparation and contraindications for its use. Its tolerance is very good, which allows safe use for a long period of time. It can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as by people with diabetes and children over 6 years of age, with the dose determined by the attending physician, according to the child’s weight.
