Alfa-Amylase 3000 CEIPU/tablet Biogaran is a medicine for mild sore throats not accompanied by fever. It comes in the form of coated tablets.
Its active substance is Alfa-amylase (3000 CEIPU for a coated tablet, or 2142.9 European Pharmacopoeia units). Its other ingredients are magnesium stearate, sorbitol, shellac, butyl methacrylate copolymer of (2-dimethylaminoethyl) methacrylate and methyl methacrylate 1:2:1 (eudragit E100), talc, gelatin, sucrose, gum arabic, titanium dioxide, orange yellow S (E110) and carnauba wax.
Dosage of Alfa Amylase tablet Biogaran
It is 1 tablet, 3 times a day. The tablets are to be taken during meals.
This medication is reserved for adults. The tablets are taken orally with a glass of water. The tablet should not be chewed.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days without medical advice.
If there is no improvement or if the symptoms persist, medical advice is required.
Lozenges such as Euphon can be combined with these tablets if necessary.
