Arnican 4% cream is a herbal formulated medicine. It is traditionally recommended in the symptomatic treatment of bruises.
Its active substance is the fluid extract of Arnica flower (Arnica chamissonis Less subsp. foliosa (Nutt.) Maguire), dosed at 4 g per 100 g of cream.
The solvent is ethanol at 60% V/V (drug/extract ratio: 1:1).
The other components which enter into its formula are as follows: vulnerary alcoholate, ionone, levomenthol, essential oil of matricaria, essential oil of rose geranium, reconstituted essential oil of neroli, essential oil of lavender, ethanol 96% V/V, oleate of macrogol (Labrafil M 1944 CS), emulsifiable ethylene glycol stearate (Monthybase), purified water.
