“The medicine contains the active ingredient pantoprazole, which blocks the pump that produces stomach acid. As a result, the amount of acid in the stomach decreases.
It is used for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid reflux) in adults.
Dosage
The recommended dose is one tablet per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of pantoprazole 20 mg.
Take this medicine for at least 2-3 days in a row. Stop taking it when your symptoms completely disappear. Symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn may be relieved after just one day of treatment with this medicine, but this medicine does not necessarily provide immediate relief.
If you do not notice an improvement in your symptoms after 2 weeks of continuous use of this medicine, consult a doctor.
Do not take the product for more than 4 weeks without consulting a doctor. Take the tablet at the same time every day before meals. Swallow the tablet whole with a small amount of water. Do not bite or break the tablet.
You should not take this medicine:
if you are allergic to pantoprazole or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
if you are also taking a medicine containing atazanavir (used to treat HIV infection).”
