“Composition
The active substance of the drug is: dry extract of thyme herb Thymus vulgaris L. and/or Thymus zygis L. (7-13: 1), extractant: water.
The other ingredients are: gum arabic (dry substance), spray-dried arabic gum, fructose, liquid sorbitol 70% non-crystallising (E 420), maltodextrin, anhydrous citric acid (E 330), sodium saccharin (E 954), chokeberry flavor (contains glycol propylene (E
1520)), forest fruit aroma (contains propylene glycol (E 1520) and benzyl alcohol (E 1519)), light liquid paraffin, purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 lozenges every 4 hours, 4 times a day.
Children 6-12 years: 1 tablet, 3 times a day.
The duration of self-administration of Bronchostop cough medicine should be limited to 7 days.
Indications
Bronchostop cough medicine is intended to stimulate the expectoration of retained, thick mucus in the case of cough associated with a cold.
Contraindications
When not to take Bronchostop for groats:
if you are allergic to thyme, other plants of the Lamiaceae family (Lamiaceae – formerly Labiatae) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Frequency unknown: Hypersensitivity reactions (including one case of anaphylactic shock and one case of Quincke’s edema) and gastric symptoms have been observed when using medicinal products containing thyme.
Warnings and precautions
If shortness of breath, fever or purulent discharge occurs, consult a doctor.
If your symptoms worsen while taking the medicine, consult your doctor.
This medicine contains 5.53 mg of propylene glycol in each lozenge.
This medicine contains 0.0018 mg of benzyl alcohol in each lozenge.
Store at temperatures below 30oC.
Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
There are no known interactions with other medicinal products.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
For pregnant or breastfeeding women, consult your doctor before using the medicine.
Due to lack of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended. No data on effects on fertility.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Bronchostop cough medicine is not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age.
Driving vehicles and machines
No studies on the effect of the medicinal product on the ability to drive or use machines have been performed. Contains no ingredients known to cause drowsiness.
