Viatris Carbocisteine 5% syrup without sugar for adults is a medicine that helps to thin bronchial secretions and thus facilitate their evacuation by coughing. The syrup is indicated in adults in the management of recent respiratory conditions with difficulty expectorating, particularly during bronchial episodes.
It contains 5.00 g of carbocisteine per 100 ml of solution.
A graduation of 15 ml of the cup corresponds to 750 mg of carbocisteine and 130 mg of sodium.
The other ingredients are: Liquid maltitol, sorbitol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), cochineal red A (E124), sodium hydroxide, purified water, cherry flavor and propylene glycol.
