Taking vitamin D is recommended from the first days of life, regardless of the method of feeding the newborn (breastfeeding/modified milk). From birth to 6 months of age, it is recommended to take vitamin D at a dose of 400 IU/day. From 6 to 12 months of age, vitamin D supplementation is recommended at a dose of 400-600 IU/day, depending on vitamin D intake in the diet.
Recommended daily dose
Newborns, infants and children – 1 capsule per day. Unscrew and tear off the tip of the capsule, and then squeeze the contents into your child’s mouth, spoon, or food. Be careful not to allow your child to swallow the capsule.
