The medicine Hextril Menthe is an antiseptic mouthwash . It is used in the local adjunctive treatment of mouth conditions.
Its active substance is hexetidine (0.1000 g for a 100 ml bottle) .
Its other ingredients are quinoline alder and patent blue V, purified water, sodium polysorbate, 96% ethanol, citric acid monohydrate and mint flavor.
Dosage of Hextril Menthe mouthwash
This mouthwash is indicated for adults and children over 6 years old . It should be used locally as a mouthwash. It is used pure or diluted at a rate of 1 dose 2 to 3 times a day .
For pure use, Hextril mint is used by filling the measuring cup up to 15 ml.
For diluted use, in the event of painful symptoms, the solution is diluted 1/2, pouring the solution up to the notch indicating 15 ml, and topping up to the top of the cup with water.
The duration of treatment is 5 days , beyond which consult if symptoms persist, due to the risk of disruption of the microbial balance of the oral flora.
An overdose can lead to excessive doses, neurological accidents such as convulsions in children, due to the presence of certain constituents (essential oils).
