Hibiscrub 4% is a medicine in the form of a foaming solution. This antiseptic is recommended for the local treatment of skin conditions , infected or at risk of infection, but also for the antisepsis of the hands of healthcare personnel, or surgical antisepsis (antisepsis of the surgeon’s hands).
Its active substance is chlorhexidine gluconate in a 20 percent solution (20 ml), corresponding to chlorhexidine gluconate at 4.000 g per 100 ml of foaming solution.
The other components that enter into its formula are as follows: D-Gluconolactone, Poloxamer 237, N-Alkyldimethylamine oxide, Perfume, Isopropyl alcohol, Cochineal red A (E 124), Glycerol, Macrogol cocoate 7 glycerol, Sodium hydroxide, purified water.
