Humex sore throat mint pastilles is a medicine used in case of mild sore throat and not accompanied by fever. It is also indicated in case of mouth ulcers or small wounds in the mouth. It is intended for adults and children over 12 years old. It combines a local anesthetic, lidocaine hydrochloride, with two local antiseptics, amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol.
This medicine has as active substances lidocaine hydrochloride (2 mg per lozenge), 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol (1.2 mg per lozenge) and amylmetacresol (0.6 mg per lozenge). Its other ingredients are peppermint essential oil, star anise essential oil, levomenthol, indigotine (E132), quinoline yellow (E104), sodium saccharin, tartaric acid, sucrose and liquid glucose.
