Applications
The drug is a nasal spray.
The active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride contained in it constricts blood vessels and thereby reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa.
The additional active ingredient dexpanthenol is a derivative of vitamin pantothenic acid, which promotes wound healing and protects the mucous membrane.
The drug is used
to relieve swelling of the nasal mucosa in case of a cold and to support the healing of skin and mucosal lesions (lesions), runny nose (vasomotor rhinitis) and to treat nasal breathing obstruction after nasal surgery.
The drug is intended for adults and schoolchildren.
Dosage.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults and schoolchildren will be administered the spray up to 3 times a day as needed. The nostrils are inserted. The dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical effect.
Duration of use
The duration of action of the drug should not exceed 7 days, unless the doctor has prescribed further use.
It should be used again only after a break of several days.
Prolonged use can lead to chronic swelling and, ultimately, to shrinkage of the nasal mucosa.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used.
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients xylometazoline hydrochloride or dexpanthenol or to any of the other ingredients of the drug,
if you have dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with crusting formation (sicca rhinitis) present,
after surgical removal of the pituitary gland through the nose (transsphenoidal hypophysectomy) or other surgical interventions exposing the meninges,
in infants and toddlers Age 6 years.”
