Application areas
The medicine is a drug from the group of laxatives for the treatment of acute and chronic constipation in adults, adolescents and elderly patients. Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Other products are available for this group of patients.
The product helps to ensure comfortable bowel movements, even if you have been suffering from constipation for a long time.
Dosage
To maintain good health, including a healthy bowel, it is recommended to drink enough fluids (usually 2 to 2.5 liters per day).
Constipation:
One dose corresponds to 1 sachet.
Depending on the severity of constipation, take 1 sachet 1 to 3 times a day.
Kidney failure
For patients with kidney failure, no dose adjustment is required.
Duration of use:
Constipation:
Treatment usually lasts about 2 weeks. If you need to take the product for a longer period of time, consult your doctor. If your constipation is caused by a condition such as: For example, if it is caused by Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis (MS), or if you are taking medications that cause constipation, your doctor may recommend that you take the medicine for longer than 2 weeks.
For long-term treatment, the dose is usually 1 or 2 sachets per day.
Contraindications
Do not take this medicine if your doctor has told you that you have any of the following:
Narrowing of the intestine or intestinal blockage
if a breakthrough in the intestine (perforation) has occurred
severe inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease or toxic megacolon.
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.”
