Areas of application
The medicine is a therapeutic agent for the oral cavity and throat.
It is used for temporary supportive treatment of painful inflammation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat (tonsillitis).
Dosage
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period of time necessary to achieve symptom-free results.
Adults and children over 12 years:
Depending on your needs, let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth every 2 hours. Do not exceed 8 lozenges per day.
Children 6 to 12 years:
Depending on your needs, let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth every 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 lozenges per day.
Do not take the medicine for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor or dentist.
Contraindications
Do not use the medicine
if you are allergic to cetylpyridinium chloride, benzocaine, or p-aminobenzoic acid, or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
if you are allergic to local anesthetics.
If you have had or suspect methemoglobinemia or are at increased risk for it.
if you are taking sulfonamides.
if you are taking cholinesterase inhibitors or have decreased cholinesterase activity.”
