“Composition: 5 ml syrup (one teaspoon) contains the active substance, which is 4mg butamiratu citrate and excipients.
Action: antitussive, relaxes the muscles of the bronchi, making it easier to breathe.
Dosage: orally. Unless the doctor prescribes a specific dosage, the drug is most often used: – children from 2 to 6 years: 1 teaspoon (4 mg) 3 times a day – children from 6 to 12 years 2 teaspoons (8 mg) 3 times a day – children over 12 years: 3 teaspoons (12 mg) 3 times a day – adults: 3 teaspoons (12 mg) 4 times a day. The drug should be taken before meals. It should not be used for more than a few days.
Contraindications: allergy to butamirate or other components of the composition; phenylketonuria. The drug is not indicated for use upacjentów with symptoms of acute respiratory depression.
