Magne B6 Forte is a medicinal product in the form of coated tablets, which supplements the deficiencies of magnesium and / or vitamin B6 in the body. It is intended for children from 6 years of age and adults. It contains a well-absorbed magnesium salt – citrate.
Composition
The active substances are: magnesium citrate ( Magnesii citras ) and pyridoxine hydrochloride ( Pyridoxini hydrochloridum ).
1 film-coated tablet contains 100 mg of magnesium ions in the form of magnesium citrate (Magnesii citras) and 10 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride (Pyridoxini hydrochloridum).
Excipients: anhydrous lactose, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Children and adolescents 6 years of age or above (weighing about 20 kg): 10 to 30 mg / kg. per day (i.e. 0.4 to 1.2 mmol / kg body weight per day), i.e. 2 to 4 tablets a day, in 2 or 3 divided doses, during meals.
Adults: 3 to 4 tablets a day, divided into 2 or 3 doses with a meal.
Swallow the tablets with plenty of water.
Action
Magne B6 Forte contains magnesium ions and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6). The drug replenishes magnesium and / or vitamin B6 deficiencies in the body.
Indications
The product is indicated for use in magnesium deficiencies that may be manifested by nervousness, irritability, mood swings, mild anxiety, anxiety, temporary fatigue, lethargy, mild sleep disturbances; anxiety symptoms such as gastrointestinal cramps or palpitations (without heart problems); muscle spasms, tingling, eyelid twitching.
Contraindications
Do not use the drug in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product and in patients with severe renal insufficiency and using levodopa.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Not known: hypersensitivity reactions, diarrhea, abdominal pain, skin reactions, urticaria, pruritus, eczema and erythema.
Warnings and Precautions
Particular caution should be exercised in patients with moderate renal insufficiency due to the risk of high levels of magnesium in the blood.
Sensory axonal neuropathy (a feeling of tingling sensation) may occur as a result of taking high doses of pyridoxine for a long time.
The drug contains lactose. Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 25ºC.
Use of other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, and about any medicines you plan to take, including those sold without a prescription.
The drug should not be used in patients treated with levodopa alone.
Concomitant use of products containing phosphates or calcium salts should be avoided as these compounds inhibit the absorption of magnesium from the small intestine. In the case of simultaneous oral administration of a tetracycline antibiotic and Magne B6 Forte, there should be a 3-hour interval between their intake. Quinolone antibiotics (such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin) must be taken at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after administration of Magne B6 Forte.
Taking the drug with food and drink
The drug should be taken with meals with water.
