Product information
The active substance is: terbinafine hydrochloride ( Terbinafini hydrochloridum ).
1 g of cream contains 10 mg of terbinafine hydrochloride.
Excipients: purified water, cetostearyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, cetyl palmitate, sorbitan stearate, benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sodium hydroxide.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- A drug for external use on the skin.
- Before using the drug, the skin should be thoroughly washed and dried.
- A thin layer of the drug should be applied to the skin.
- The cream should be applied to the infected areas of the skin and slightly around them.
- Wash hands thoroughly after use, except for hand treatment.
- The improvement is visible within a few days.
- Irregular use or premature discontinuation of treatment increases the likelihood of symptoms.
- If there is no improvement after 2 weeks of use, a doctor should be consulted.
Action
Tersilat has antifungal activity.
Indications
- treatment of fungal or yeast skin infections,
- athlete’s foot,
- pityriasis versicolor.
Contraindications
Do not take Tersilat :
- if you are allergic to terbinafine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
- peeling of the skin, itching.
Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
- skin changes, scabs, skin disorder, pigmentation disorder, redness (erythema), skin burning sensation,
- pain, application site pain, application site irritation.
Rare side effects (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000):
- dry skin, contact dermatitis, eczema, worsening of a fungal infection.
Not known:
- hypersensitivity, rash.
Warnings and Precautions
- The drug is for external use only on the skin.
- The drug may cause local irritation in case of contact with the eyes.
- The drug contains cetostearyl alcohol – may cause local skin reactions.
- Shelf life after first opening the tube: 6 months.
- Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Consult a doctor before using the drug in the case of pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
