Xylometazolin APTEO MED is a medicine containing xylometazoline hydrochloride as the active substance. The preparation is a locally acting drug which, by constricting blood vessels, reduces congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa and the amount of secretion. For patients with a stuffy nose, it makes it easier to breathe through the nose.
Indications
Excessive nasal congestion occurring in the course of colds, hay fever, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis.
Action
The medicinal product facilitates the outflow of secretions from inflamed paranasal sinuses. By reducing congestion of the nasopharyngeal mucosa, it can be used as an adjunct to otitis media. Xylometazolin APTEO MED nasal drops facilitate nasal examination (examination of the nasal cavity).”
