“Oilatum Emollient is a bath additive with a herbal aroma.
It is used to treat and soothe skin conditions characterized by dry, itchy, and inflamed skin, such as eczema and dermatitis, ichthyosis (an inherited skin disorder), and pruritus (itchy skin that can occur in older people).
The drug is especially suitable when these diseases spread over large areas of the body.
The OILATUM EMOLLIENT product contains the active ingredient light liquid paraffin (liquid paraffin).
Light liquid paraffin is an emollient used to treat and prevent skin conditions that cause dry, itchy, and inflamed skin, such as eczema.
Effect:
soothes irritations, soothes the skin and restores its natural tone,
forms a thin protective oil film on the surface that absorbs moisture from the skin and prevents it from drying out.
Application and dosage:
Oilatum Emollient can be used by all age groups, including children and infants.
Do not use Oilatum Emollient if you are allergic to light paraffin or any other ingredients.
You can use Oilatum Emollient as often as you need, but it is usually used once a day.
You should always use Oilatum Emollient with water. Add it to your bath or apply to damp skin. The duration of the bath should be from 10 to 20 minutes. It is recommended to take a warm bath (according to the person’s body temperature) rather than a hot one. If you are using it to cleanse your skin, you will need to wet your skin before applying Oilatum Emollient.
Do not use soap with Oilatum emollient.
Oilatum Emollient contains ingredients that cleanse the skin. Using regular soap while bathing can prevent the formation of an oily film and, therefore, reduce the therapeutic effect of the product. After using Oilatum Emollient, the bath or shower may become slippery. Therefore, be careful when entering and exiting the bath or shower.
Bath for adults:
Place 1–3 capfuls (10–30 ml) in the bath at a height of approximately 20 cm (100–150 l) and stir well. Immerse (immerse all affected areas) for 10 – 20 minutes. Dry lightly with a clean towel. If you have large dry patches of skin, try submerging them completely under water.
Bath for children:
Add ½–2 capfuls (5–20 ml) to a bath (approx. 15 liters) and stir well. Apply with a sponge all over your body. Dry lightly with a clean towel.
Skin cleansing:
Rub a small amount of oil into damp skin. Rinse and dry with a clean towel.
Whenever possible, and especially if the damage to your disability is large, you should try to use Oilatum Emollient as a bath supplement so that it is applied throughout the body. This improves the condition of eczema and reduces the feeling of itching.
After swimming or showering, rinse waste with plenty of warm running water. The waste may also need to be cleaned with a degreaser.
