YuVIT D3 MAX can be used by patients from the first day of life.
Indications for use of YuVIT Kids D3 20,000 IU/ml
Juvit Kids D3 is recommended for use in:
prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from deficiency (eg, rickets, osteomalacia) in adults, adolescents, children, infants and newborns,
maintenance treatment of osteoporosis in adults,
prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning pregnancy, pregnant and breastfeeding, upon consultation with a doctor.
The drug can be used to treat vitamin D deficiency, rickets, osteomalacia in previously diagnosed patients, as a continuation of treatment.
Compound
JUVIT D3 MAX contains only two ingredients.
The active ingredient of the drug is cholecalciferol in the amount of 0.5 mg (20,000 IU) in 1 ml of solution (1 ml of solution contains 40 drops, 1 drop – 500 IU of vitamin D3). Other ingredients (excipients): medium chain fatty acid triglycerides.
How is JUVIT Kids D3 20,000 IU/ml dosed?

The medicine is intended for oral use.
Prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from deficiency (eg, rickets, osteomalacia) in adults, adolescents, children, infants, and newborns:
In newborns and infants, the drug should be used under medical supervision.
Most commonly used dosage regimen:
Premature infants: 1–2 drops (500–1000 IU) per day. After reaching the corrected age of 40 weeks, the prophylactic dose should be reduced. The dosage should be determined by the attending physician.
Newborns and children up to 12 months: 1 drop (500 IU) per day.
Children from 1 to 10 years: if adequate sun exposure is not possible, 1–2 drops (500–1000 IU) per day.
Children 11 years and older, adolescents and adults: If adequate sun exposure is not possible, 2–4 drops (1000–2000 IU) per day.
Elderly (over 75 years): 4–8 drops (2000–4000 IU) per day.
Maintenance treatment of osteoporosis in adults:
2–4 drops (1000–2000 IU) per day.
Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning pregnancy, pregnant and breastfeeding, in consultation with a doctor:
The usual dosage is 4 drops (2,000 IU) per day unless your doctor recommends a different dosage regimen. During pregnancy, women should follow their doctor’s recommendations as vitamin D requirements may vary depending on the body’s resources.
Patients with kidney failure
In patients with renal failure, calcium and phosphate metabolism should be monitored. If hypercalcemia or signs of renal dysfunction occur, the dose should be reduced or treatment discontinued. It is recommended to reduce the dose or discontinue treatment if the daily urinary calcium excretion exceeds 7.5 mmol/24 hours (300 mg/24 hours).
The drug should not be used for a long time or in large doses without medical supervision. In addition, other drugs, dietary supplements, or other types of food containing vitamin D (cholecalciferol), calcitriol, or other metabolites and analogues of vitamin D should not be used without medical supervision.
May be given to infants and young children at the same time. Spoon the drug with a drink or meal.
Due to the risk of overdose, the medicine should not be administered directly from the vial into the patient’s mouth.
Contraindications
If you are allergic to cholecalciferol or any other ingredient of the drug;
if you suffer from: hypercalcemia (increased serum calcium levels), nephrolithiasis, lack of cholecalciferol hydroxylase activity in the liver and kidneys or severe renal failure.”
