Compound
The active ingredients of the drug are: cetylpyridinium chloride, lidocaine hydrochloride, zinc gluconate.
Excipients: levomenthol, ethanol 96%, glycerin, sucralose (E 955), purified water.

The drug is used topically by spraying onto the oral mucosa. Desaftan honey is intended for short-term use; do not use it for longer than 5 days without consulting a doctor.
The recommended dosage of Desaftan honey depends on the age of the patient. For adults, use 3 sprays every 1–2 hours, but not more than 8 times a day. For children over 6 years of age, administer 3 sprays every 2–3 hours, but not more than 6 times a day. Before using the dispenser, read the instructions for use included with the medicine.
Action
Desaftan honey has a multidirectional effect. Cetylpyridinium chloride disinfects and has bactericidal, fungicidal and antiviral properties. Lidocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic that relieves pain. On the other hand, zinc gluconate supports the immune system.
Indications
Desaftan honey is used for: inflammation of the oral cavity, gingivitis, infections and ulcers of the oral mucosa (aphthous ulcers, thrush), caused, for example, by orthodontic braces or dentures.
Contraindications
Desaftan honey should not be used by people with hypersensitivity to cetylpyridinium chloride, lidocaine hydrochloride, zinc gluconate (the active ingredients of the drug), other local anesthetics from the amide group or any of the other ingredients. Contraindications to the use of the drug are: severe liver or kidney failure, methemoglobinemia, muscle weakness.”
