“Recommended for use in cases of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. It shortens the duration of infection and increases the body’s immunity. Inosine pranobex fights viral infections and further enhances the body’s immunity. After a viral particle enters a cell, inosine suppresses the process of translation of the genetic material of the virus, thereby preventing its growth and further reproduction. Thus, the substance fights infection by suppressing the proliferation of viruses. Inosine pranobex also improves immunity. Use:
Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years of age) – the usually recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day – usually 1 g, i.e. 2 tablets 3 times a day. Do not take more than 8 tablets per day.
For children over 1 year of age, the usual recommended dose is 50 mg per kg of body weight per day, in several divided doses.
The tablet should be taken with plenty of liquid, preferably water. If you have difficulty swallowing the entire tablet, you can crush it and dissolve it in a little water to make taking the medication easier.
