“Compound
The active ingredients of the drug are: neomycin sulfate (Neomycini sulfas), polymyxin B sulfate (Polymyxini B sulfas), zinc-bacitracin (Bacitracinum zinc).
1 g of ointment contains 5 mg of neomycin, 5000 IU of polymyxin B, 400 IU of bacitracin.
Excipients: white Vaseline.
Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The polybiotic is applied to the skin.
The affected skin should be cleansed.
Do not use longer than 7 days.
You can place a bandage (made of gauze) over the area where the ointment is applied or leave the area uncovered.
Teenagers over 12 years old, adults: 2-5 times a day.
Action
The polybiotic contains active substances with antibacterial activity (the drug is active against gram(+) and gram(-) bacteria).
Indications
minor wounds (abrasions, scratches, bites),
Burns,
skin ulcers.
Contraindications
When you should not use Polybiotic:
in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substances – neomycin, polymyxin B, bacitracin or any of the other ingredients of the drug,
if you have hearing problems,
for knife wounds, severe burns, large areas of skin, weeping lesions,
for mucous membranes and eyes,
in children under 12 years of age.”
