“Compound
The active ingredient of the drug is pancreatin (Pancreatinum).
Excipients: tablet: copolymer of methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate (1:1), triethyl citrate, talc, simethicone; outer part of the capsule shell: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (E 172), black iron oxide (E 172); capsule shell, inner part: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (E 172), quinoline yellow aluminum (E 104).
Dosage
Neo-Pancreatin Forte should be taken with food and liquid.
Capsules should be swallowed whole – they should not be chewed, crushed or kept in the mouth, as this may cause irritation of the mucous membrane and reduce the effectiveness of the drug. If swallowing whole capsules is difficult (especially for small children), you can empty the granules from the capsule, mix them with a small amount of “sour” food (such as apple sauce or tomato sauce) and swallow immediately without chewing. and then drink a glass of water or juice.
Doses of the drug are selected individually depending on the degree of pancreatic insufficiency of the patient.
Adults: Typically 2 to 4 capsules with each meal. The dose can be increased only after consultation with a doctor.
Children: The dose for children should always be determined by a doctor.
Action
Neo-Pancreatin Forte contains pancreatin, which contains three digestive enzymes: protease, amylase, lipase. Lipase causes the breakdown (hydrolysis) of fats, and amylase causes starch. Protease is responsible for protein breakdown. The enzymes contained in Pancreatin act in the small intestine, and the enteric capsule facilitates delivery of the drug to this environment.
Neo-Pancreatinum Forte allows you to supplement or replace the action of pancreatic enzymes naturally produced by the human body, thereby improving digestion and allowing better absorption of nutrients from food.
Indications
Neo-Pancreatin Forte is used for conditions of pancreatic enzyme deficiency caused by various reasons, such as:
chronic pancreatitis,
cystic fibrosis (a hereditary disease characterized by the body producing excessively viscous mucus, causing serious damage to organs such as the lungs or pancreas),
obstruction of the pancreas or bile ducts caused by cancer,
surgery to remove the pancreas or stomach.
Contraindications
When should you not use Neo-Pancreatin Forte:
if you are allergic to pancreatin or pork protein or any other ingredient of this medicine,
with acute pancreatitis and with exacerbation of chronic inflammation.”
