The active ingredient is dimethindene maleate.
One gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimethindene maleate.
Excipients of the drug: benzalkonium chloride solution, sodium edetate, carbomer, sodium hydroxide 30%, propylene glycol, purified water.
Dosage
The medicine is intended for use on the skin.
Typically, unless otherwise directed by your doctor, the medication should be applied 2 to 4 times daily, covering the affected and itchy skin surface with a thin layer of gel.
Action
When applied to the skin, fenistil gel has a local antiallergic effect, has a pronounced antipruritic effect (excluding cholestatic itching), reduces swelling and soothes irritation. It has local anesthetic properties. It is cooling, which further soothes irritated skin.
Indications
Itching associated with skin diseases, hives, insect bites, sunburn, superficial skin burns (first degree).
When should you not use Fenistil gel?
If you are allergic to the active substance or any other ingredient of the medicine.
For second and third degree burns.
Do not use on mucous membranes.
Due to the propylene glycol content, this product should not be used on open wounds or large areas of injured or damaged skin (such as burns) without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnant and lactating women should consult a doctor before using the drug.
