Normacol enema for children is a laxative administered to prepare for radiological and endoscopic examinations of the rectosigmoid and in the symptomatic treatment of lower constipation. It is a treatment to be used occasionally.
The active substances are sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate (10.92 g) and sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (4.80 g) in a 60 ml vial.
The excipients with a notable effect in Normacol enema are sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E219), and sorbic acid.
The other ingredients are : hydrolyzed sterculia gum, sorbic acid, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E219), purified water.
