The drug, Dexpanthenol 5% dermal ointment from the Viatris laboratory is administered in the treatment of skin irritation, especially of the bottoms of babies ( diaper rash ).
It comes in the form of a 100 g tube including 5 g of dexpanthenol which is the active ingredient. The other components are: Protegin XN, petroleum jelly, wool fat, wool fat, white beeswax, almond oil, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, purified water. Protegin XN is composed of liquid paraffin, petroleum jelly, microcrystalline wax, glycerol monooleate and wool fat alcohols.
Dosage of Dexpanthenol 5% ointment Viatris
You are advised to apply Dexpanthenol 5% by massaging lightly one to several times a day to the area of skin irritations .
If you do not observe any improvement after 5 days of treatment, a medical consultation will be necessary.
