Bronchokod sugar-free syrup contains 5% carbocisteine . This non-prescription medicine is a fluidifier of bronchial secretions, and thus facilitates their evacuation by coughing.
This medicine has as its active substance carbocisteine, at a rate of 5 g per 100 ml. Its other ingredients are xanthan gum, sodium saccharin, liquid maltitol, 96 percent ethanol, sodium hydroxide, caramel flavor and purified water.
The caramel flavor is composed of diacetyl, propylene glycol, butyric acid, methylcyclopentenolone, maltol, 4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(2H)-furanone, piperonal and vanillin.
Bronchokod sugar-free is a syrup indicated for productive coughs in adults in cases of difficulty expectorating (difficulty in coughing up bronchial secretions).
