- Scaldex ointment is an over-the-counter drug that combines the action of an antibiotic (bacitracin) and natural substances, such as: tincture of marigold flowers and vitamin A. The ingredients contained in the ointment give it a disinfecting and antibacterial effect. Facilitates wound healing. Scaldex ointment is recommended for use in cases of 1st and 2nd degree burns, light frostbite and pressure sores. It will also work in the case of difficult-to-heal superficial wounds.
