Areas of use
This medicine is used to treat:
Fungal nail infections without affecting the nail root (nail matrix)
Fungal infections of up to two nails, affecting both the surface and the edges of the nail (as in the first picture below).
The active ingredient is amorolfine (as hydrochloride), which belongs to a group of drugs called antifungals.
The medicine kills various fungi that can cause nail infections. A fungal nail infection is likely if the nails are discolored (white, yellow or brown), thick or brittle, although their appearance can vary significantly.
Dosage
Adults and Elderly
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, use the product as follows:
Take care of your nails as described below: Treat your nails once a week.
Use once a week for fingernails for 6 months and toenails for 9 to 12 months.
Nails grow slowly, so it may take 2 to 3 months before you notice an improvement.
