“ACC LONG is a medicine that contains acetylcysteine. This active ingredient dissolves all components that cause mucus viscosity. This reduces mucus viscosity and makes it easier to cough up.
It is used to treat acute and chronic respiratory diseases associated with excessive production of thick mucus and a wet cough.
Without consulting your doctor, it can be used by adults, adolescents over 14 years of age for acute respiratory diseases together with thick mucus and wet cough such as influenza, acute bronchitis or trachea.
ACC LONG is intended for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over.
If you do not feel better within 5 days or if symptoms worsen, you should consult your doctor.
ACC LONG with food and drinks
The effect of acetylcysteine on mucus is enhanced by increasing fluid intake.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, this medicine should only be used on the advice of a doctor.
Application and dosage:
Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over: 1 effervescent tablet once daily, equivalent to 600 mg acetylcysteine daily.
The effervescent tablet is taken dissolved in 1/2 glass of water after a meal. The solution should be taken immediately after the tablet has dissolved.
Active ingredients:
Each effervescent tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine.
The other ingredients are: anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, mannitol, lactose, ascorbic acid, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium dihydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, blackberry flavor.”
