“Compound
Active ingredient: levocetirizine dihydrochloride.
1 tablet contains levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg (levocetirizine 4.2 mg).
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (type 102), lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 400.
Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Medicine for oral administration.
Do not use the medicine for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
If after 3 days of using the drug there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, you should consult a doctor.
The tablet should be taken whole, with or without food.
Adults and children 6 years of age and older: 1 tablet (5 mg) daily.
Action
Contrahist Allergy has antiallergic properties. Levocetirizine is a histamine H1 receptor blocker.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment:
allergic rhinitis (including chronic allergic rhinitis),
chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Contraindications
When not to use Contrahist Allergy:
if you have a hypersensitivity (allergy) to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, an allergy medicine, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
if you have severe renal failure (severe renal failure with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min),
if you have hereditary galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Storage:
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
Taking the medicine with food and drink
The medicine can be taken regardless of food.”
