Compound
The active ingredient is olopatadine.
1 ml of solution contains 1 mg of olopatadine in the form of hydrochloride.
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, anhydrous sodium phosphate, sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH), hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH), water for injection.
Dosage

The drug is used topically by instillation into the conjunctival sac. Before using Oftahist drops, you should remove your contact lenses and wait 15 minutes after applying the medication before putting them back on. The recommended dosage of Oftahist for adults is 1 drop in the eye or eyes twice a day with a break of at least 8 hours. If symptoms do not improve or worsen within three days of starting the medicine, contact your doctor. Treatment period is up to two weeks. If necessary, treatment can be continued for up to four months after consulting a doctor. The medicine should not be used for longer than 4 months.
Action
Ophtahist has antiallergic and antihistamine properties, reducing symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis such as itching, redness, swelling of the conjunctiva and eyelids. These illnesses are sudden, acute and transient. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis is often accompanied by a runny nose, sneezing, and itching in the ears and nose.
Indications
Oftahist eye drops are used for diagnosed seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
Contraindications
Oftahist should not be used by people with hypersensitivity to olopatadine or any of the ingredients of the drug.”
