“Naproxen Aflofarm is a drug that has analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Composition Naproxen Aflofarm, tablets 200 mg, 10 pcs.
The active ingredient of the drug is naproxen (Naproxenum).
1 tablet contains naproxen 200 mg.
Excipients: lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, polyvidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium dodecyl sulfate, sunset yellow (E 110).
Dosage
Adults and children over 16 years of age: orally, as a special pain reliever, 2 tablets (400 mg) once, then, if necessary, 1 tablet every 6–8 hours;
The daily dose of 600 mg should not be exceeded.
Do not take this pain medication for more than 10 days unless specifically directed by your doctor.
Side effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time needed to relieve symptoms.
In people over 16 years of age with impaired renal, hepatic or cardiac function, a dose reduction may be required.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
The drug is not recommended for use in the first and second trimester of pregnancy. The drug should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy. The drug may increase the risk of complications in mother and child during the perinatal period.
It is not recommended to use the drug during breastfeeding. Naproxen is excreted in the milk of lactating women. Because of possible side effects in the baby, a woman taking naproxen should not breastfeed.
Contraindications
When should you not use Naproxen Aflofarm:
if you are allergic to the active substance or any other ingredient of the drug;
if you experience shortness of breath, asthma, runny nose or hives after taking acetylsalicylic acid (such as aspirin) or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as Naproxen Aflofarm may cause similar side effects in these patients;
if you have ever had or are suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding;
if you have ever had a hole (perforation) in the wall of your stomach or intestines due to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);
if you have or have ever had a stomach and/or duodenal ulcer or bleeding ulcer;
if you have a bleeding disorder (blood clotting disorder);
if you have severe heart failure;
if you have severe kidney or liver failure;
if the patient is in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Should not be used in children under 16 years of age.”
