Dosage.
The drug can be used orally or on the skin depending on the therapeutic indications.
Dosage:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 15 ml (tablespoon) to 45 ml (3 tablespoons) at night or in the morning on an empty stomach.
Children over 2 years old: from 10 ml (2 teaspoons) to 30 ml (6 teaspoons).
Defecation occurs after a few hours.
Action
The drug Liquid Paraffin, when taken orally, reduces the absorption of water and envelops the intestinal mucosa, due to which the feces soften, facilitating bowel movements. Vaseline paraffin is not absorbed from the digestive tract and does not irritate the intestines. The laxative effect occurs a few hours after application.
Indications
A laxative used to treat constipation.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used in case of: hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the ingredients of the drug; children under 2 years old; choledocholithiasis or other condition that impedes the flow of bile and severe liver damage.”
