OPTIVE not only moistens the surface of the eye, but also helps restore the health of the surface of the eye. The active ingredients of OPTIVE are sodium carboxymethylcellulose (also known as sodium carmellose, a moisturizing agent that stabilizes the tear film) and glycerin (a non-masking, long-lasting moisturizer). In addition, OPTIVE contains compatible solutes erythritol and L-carnitine, which protect corneal epithelial cells from damage, restore osmotic balance and normalize cell function.
Indications.
Wholesale prescribe as an eye lubricant for dry eyes.
Method of administration and dosage.
The drug should be instilled 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) if necessary.
Concomitant eye treatment should be carried out at least 5 minutes after the use of OPTIVE to avoid washout.
Storage conditions
The bottle should be kept tightly closed at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
