“Canesten GIN 6 days is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that is active against a number of pathogenic fungal microorganisms, including dermatophytes, yeasts and fungi. In addition, it is effective against certain types of bacteria.
Canesten GIN 6 days is used to treat inflammation of the vagina and external genitalia (vulvitida) in women.
The main symptoms of the above diseases (candidiasis) are:
– Itching and/or redness in the vagina and vulva;
– Burning of the vagina and vulva;
– Swelling and tenderness of the tissues of the vagina and vulva;
– Vaginal discharge (whitish, lumpy, odorless).
Canesten GIN 6 days is also used to treat inflammation of the gonads (balanitis) in men.
In its mildest and most typical form, it manifests itself as redness, itching and foul-smelling discharge from the foreskin sac.
If you are unsure whether you have candidiasis or inflammation of the glans penis, consult your doctor before starting treatment.
Canesten GIN 6 days is intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.
The sexual partner should also be treated, especially if they have symptoms of infection.
Treatment of both sexual partners prevents the development of recurrent infection (reinfection). At this time, sexual abstinence is necessary.
Canesten GIN for 6 days may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives such as condoms or pessaries. Therefore, use an alternative method of contraception for at least 5 days after stopping treatment with this medication.
Do not use tampons, spermicides or other vaginal products during treatment.
Application and dosage:
The contents of 1 applicator of vaginal cream (about 5 g) are inserted into the vagina every evening for 6 days in a row.
The vaginal cream should be inserted as deep into the vagina as possible.
It is best to apply vaginal cream to the vagina while lying on your back with your legs slightly bent.
Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation, but should end before menstruation.
