“Compound
Active ingredient: diclofenac diethylammonium. 1 gram of gel contains 11.6 mg of diclofenac diethylammonium. 1 gram of the drug contains 50 mg of propylene glycol and 1 mg of benzyl benzoate.
Excipients of the drug: diethylamine, cetiol LC, cetomacrogol 1000, carbopol 974P, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, flavoring, purified water.
Indications
Used for local treatment:
Adults and teenagers over 14 years of age:
post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (for example, as a result of sprains, sprains or bruises),
backache,
limited inflammation of soft tissues, such as: tendonitis, tennis elbow, inflammation of the joint capsule, periarticular inflammation.
Adults (over 18 years): limited and mild forms of osteoarthritis.
Dosage.
Voltaren Emulgel should be applied topically to the skin three to four times a day, rubbing in gently.
The applicator container can be used upside down. Press the pump button to release the required amount of gel shown below. Gently rub a small amount of gel onto the painful or swollen area of skin. The amount of gel should be selected depending on the size of the affected area: the size of a cherry or a walnut is sufficient.
As you rub in the gel, you may notice a slight cooling effect.
Voltaren Emulgel is intended for application to the skin only.
After using the product you must:
Dry your hands with a tissue and then wash your hands unless your hands are the area being treated. Used tissue should be thrown away.
After using Voltaren Emulgel, the patient should wait until the medication has completely dried before taking a bath.
Do not use the medicine for longer:
In adults and adolescents over 14 years of age: 14 days for muscle and joint injuries (sprains, sprains or bruises) and tendinitis.
In adults (over 18 years): 21 days for osteoarthritis pain, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
You should use the minimum recommended dose for the shortest possible time. If pain and swelling does not subside within 7 days or gets worse, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
When should you not use Voltaren Emulgel:
if you are allergic to diclofenac or other non-al anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat pain, fever or inflammation, such as ibuprofen or aspirin, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Symptoms of hypersensitivity to the drug may include: wheezing or shortness of breath (asthma), skin rash with blisters or hives, swelling of the face or tongue, inflammation of the lining of the nose (runny nose),
in the third trimester of pregnancy,
in people under 14 years of age.”
