Vitamin B12 improves the body’s acid-base balance, increases the total protein content in the blood serum, increases the amount of gamma globulins, stimulates the production of antibodies.
The following dosage recommendations apply unless otherwise indicated:
At the beginning of treatment, 1 bottle of VITAMIN B12 DEPOT-ROTEXMEDICA (equivalent to 1000 mcg Hydroxycobalamin Acetate) is administered twice a week for the first few weeks after diagnosis. If there is evidence of absorption of vitamin B12 in the intestine, 100 mcg Hydroxycobalamin Acetate is administered once a month.
VITAMIN B12 DEPOT-ROTEXMEDICA is usually given intramuscularly (injected into the muscle). It can be given slowly intravenously or subcutaneously (injected into a vein or under the skin).”
