“Composition: 5 ml of syrup for oral administration contains: active substance doxophylline 100 mg.
Excipients: sucrose, sodium saccharin, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, sodium methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, flavorings (caramel, menthol), purified water.
Indications for use:
bronchial asthma;
chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD);
Contraindications:
in the presence of allergic reactions to the active component or to one of the auxiliary components of the drug Doxitus syrup.

Directions for use and dosage:
Children:
The recommended daily dose of Doxophylline for children is 12 mg/kg, divided into two doses. If there is no satisfactory response to treatment, the dose can be increased to 18 mg/kg per day under medical supervision. The attending physician will determine the correct dosage for your child, depending on body weight.
Adults:
20 ml (400 mg) 2 times a day. As directed by your doctor, you can increase the dose to 20 ml (400 mg) 3 times a day.
Elderly: 10 ml (200 mg) 2 times a day.
It is not recommended to take a double dose to make up for the missed dose, nor to stop treatment with the drug at your own discretion.
Overdose:
Symptoms: convulsions are the first symptom of a drug overdose.
If symptoms of overdose occur, contact your doctor or pharmacist and follow their instructions.
Side effect:
It is possible to observe phenomena such as nausea, vomiting, pain in the epigastric region, headache, irritability, insomnia, tachycardia, extrasystole, tachypnea, sometimes hyperglycemia and proteinuria.
If side effects worsen/exacerbate, or if other side effects not listed in this leaflet develop, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If adverse reactions occur, treatment should be discontinued; low doses of repeated use of the drug can only be started after consultation with your doctor.”
